ECE R44/04 is the European safety standard that sets minimum crash-test performance, structural integrity, and harness load requirements for child restraints. Both facing modes on the Cuppy are certified to this standard, giving you a concrete, tested benchmark rather than a vague quality claim. The 5-point harness distributes crash forces across the shoulders, hips, and crotch — the five contact points that matter most in a frontal or side impact. The magnetic buckle clicks shut one-handed, which is genuinely useful when you're managing a wriggling infant.

Three recline positions let you angle the seat for a sleeping child without removing it from the car. The foam cushion seat is detachable for cleaning.
